My Favorite MurderStay Sexy and Don't Get Murdered.

"My Favorite Murder is the hit true-crime comedy podcast hosted by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark. Since its inception in early 2016, the show has broken download records and sparked an enthusiastic, interactive “Murderino” fan base who come out in droves for their sold-out worldwide tours."

True-crime, meets comedy, with a dose of self-help and open discussion about mental health. Sound like an odd combination? It certainly is, but it works. Often hitting the iTunes comedy podcast top 10 charts, Karen and Georgia (with some help from audio guy Steven) have grown a huge and dedicated fanbase across the globe with their witty banter, storytelling skills, and unfettering bluntness about anything and everything. While the podcast's audience is certainly majority female, I (a guy) find it thoroughly entertaining and have other male friends who were also introduced to it through their girlfriends.

They tell true stories of some of the most horrific things that people have done to others, including grisly murders/assaults/rapes/etc. Often getting sidetracked at moments to discuss anything from mental health, practical advice, or just funny side stories. Then back to the murders.

According to Karen, “Georgia and I have always been interested in true crime since we were very young, but we also have coped with the heavy, terrible shit in life with humor.” It's hard to explain how they blend comedy with murder, and self-help without coming off as abhorrently distasteful... but they do. Give them a listen and see for yourself. If you do, I'd recommend starting more towards some of their earlier episodes and working your way to their current weekly releases. And oh yeah, they have a "fan cult" you can join at their website:
