Giving Tuesday

#GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday began in 2012 with a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

We are part of the PEG system which means we broadcast Public, Education, and Government channels on both Comcast and Verizon as well as online. NCTV is proud to be a facilitator of free speech by empowering the people of Norfolk, Massachusetts to share their voices through digital media. We are non-partisan and encourage local dialogue, increase discourse around policy issues, foster an understanding of local cultures, and share hyper-local information to improve the lives of our neighbors. Today we ask for your support by donation (or the purchase of some sweet swag below) to help us continue providing essential services for the town of Norfolk.

In the past 4 years, we have created over 2,523 hours of original programming.

  • Of that, over 50% was coverage of local government meetings.
  • During these difficult times, it is more crucial than ever to provide residents access to government meetings while they are conducted in a hybrid in-person/virtual manner.
  • We are upgrading the entire video production system in Room 124 of Town Hall to a new high definition one. Additionally, we will soon have the capability to offer live streams of our channels, including live and on-demand access to all government meetings.
  • The costs of these upgrades are considerable, but absolutely necessary... especially now. This is why we are seeking your support to help offset these costs, assisting us to continue fulfilling our mission and commitment to Norfolk.
  • Small donations can add up! Giving $5, $10, or $20 can go a long way when lots of people participate.
  • Thank you for your ongoing support. We understand times are tough right now, so if you are unable to give at this moment, please consider sharing this page through social media, email, or by any other means.
  • It costs NCTV approximately $75 to cover each meeting. Please consider donating to cover the cost of documenting one government meeting.
  • Every dollar counts and we will be incredibly grateful for any amount donated. Additionally, you can help us by purchasing any of the products listed below.
  • See if your employer will match your donation in the Double the Donation box!

"Whether it’s your kindergartener’s first Halloween Parade at HOD, your 3rd grader’s first Memorial Day Concert at Freeman Kennedy, or the pivotal town meeting that could impact the future of Norfolk, NCTV has always been there. The value they provide to our town through professional and easily-accessible content cannot be measured. They are a true cornerstone of our community and we are especially fortunate to have them as a partner."

"I believe that local cable television is critical to our town.  It is the best way to stay informed about issues ranging from, the schools, health and safety, local government and a host of other subjects.  We have a very talented group of people who put on shows at NCTV, but we always need more.  I would ask each and every resident of our town to consider sharing your experiences, your knowledge, your skills and your interests on NCTV."
